WPU Position Unchanged from Last Rating

The Statesmen men’s soccer team holds in the same spot as last week as the NAIA released its eighth top-25 poll Wednesday.
WPU (11-2-4 overall, 6-1-3 Heart) is again #17 with 245 points. The navy and gold are one of five representatives in the poll from the Heart of America Athletic Conference, including four in the top 25. League-leading Missouri Valley heads the quintet at #13, while MidAmerica Nazarene is #21 and Mount Mercy is #23. Benedictine is now in the receiving votes section with an unofficial ranking of 43rd.
The NAIA’s top five remains the same with Mid-America Christian (Okla.) still #1 with 496 points and 15 first-place votes. St. Thomas (Fla.) is second with the final three first-place ballots, while Dalton State (Ga.), Grace (Ind.), and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) round out the top five.
William Penn concludes its regular Saturday as it travels to Parkville, Mo. to face Park in Heart play at 2:30 p.m.
