Osky Girls Track At East Marshall

The girls track and field team headed to East Marshall on Thursday night to compete in the 14 team Girls Mustang Relays. They came home with another 3rd place finish.
Highlights were 4 first place finishes.

Leading the way was Maleah Walker with a Drake Blue Standard long jump performance of 17-9, which reset the meet record that she set last year. Rlyeigh Wilken came home with a first place finish in the high jump with a leap of 5-0. Evelyn Adam ran a very tactically sound race in the windy conditions to come home with the gold in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:36.76. And the Distance Medley Relay of Maddy Moornam, Ryleigh Wilken, Evelyn Adam and Tierney Carter won in a time of 4:38.45.

The team set 7 personal records on the night.

All three shot put athletes set new personal records. Rees Campbell, Regan Abrahamson and Cora Snakenberg.

There were also 2 season best relays set on the night. The Sprint Medley Relay of Beane, Arellano, VanVeldhuizen and Quang and the 4×400 relay of Wells-Stout, VanVeldhuizen, Wilken and E Adam set the fastest times so far this year in those two relays.

The girls are back in action on Monday when they travel to Bondurant.
