Indians Girls Tennis Wins Over South Tama

by Bryan Kime

The Oskaloosa Girls Tennis team hosted South Tama Monday and came out on top 7-2 on a beautiful afternoon to play tennis.

The team had a break playing in the conference and came ready to play against South Tama. The girls did a nice job of executing points today. Their starting to under how to win points.

Even though Hannah Nelson lost her singles match she bounced back teaming up in doubles with Ava Ridenour to pick up an easy win. Hannah has a very positive attitude towards the game. I told her she was doing the right things in her singles match and that you just don’t win the point some times. She said back “I’m going to win in doubles.” Ava rolled through her singles and her and Hannah did the same in doubles.

Lexi Prather had a solid performance in her singles then teamed up with Jenna DeBoef to win the most exciting match of the afternoon winning 11-9.
