Krause Earns First Attacker Award of Season

Oskaloosa–Landon Krause (Jr., Appleton, Wis., Business Management) posted a pair of big offensive performances en route to garnering Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week laurels Monday.

Krause, who won his fourth career weekly award (third time in the Attack category), guided the Statesmen to a perfect record last week.

The junior opened the week with 14 kills on a .600 hitting mark against Clarke last Tuesday. In addition to that tally, he also had two aces, five digs, and one block assist. Krause then recorded 18 kills (.414 attack pct.) in a win over #14 Missouri Baptist last Saturday. He produced one ace, six digs, and one block assist in that victory as well.

For the year, Krause, who has missed a good deal of time due to injury, now has 83 kills (2.96 per set) on a .266 attack clip. The junior has also tallied 10 aces, 35 digs, 12 blocks, and six assists.

The award is the second for WPU this year.
