Eleven Statesmen Earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete Honors
Oskaloosa–Eleven individuals from the William Penn women’s volleyball program were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2022 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Scholar-Athletes Tuesday.
Emma Stephens (So., Stonewall, Manitoba, Psychology) leads the group with a 3.87 Grade Point Average, while Jessica Skewes (Sr., Ventura, Calif., Exercise Science) (3.85), Molly McLaughlin (So., Wayland, Iowa, Business Management) (3.82), and Corrin Lepper (Sr., Jefferson City, Mo., Biology) (3.82) also all eclipsed the 3.80 mark.
Cecily Liphardt (Sr., Lincoln, Neb., Psychology and Business Management) and Mariah Radmacher (Jr., Jefferson City, Mo., Nursing) continue the list as both have 3.74 GPAs. Jami Wilkerson (So., Winfield, Iowa, Business Management) holds a 3.64 GPA, while Cate Hahn (So., St. Charles, Mo., Biology) is at 3.63.
The duo of Macy Bailey (Sr., Bondurant, Iowa, General Accounting) and Paola Cruz (Sr., Ocala, Fla., Biology) each have 3.59 GPAs, and Kat Deaton (Sr., Ankeny, Iowa, Elementary Education) rounds out the list with a 3.50 GPA.
A total of 609 women’s volleyball athletes from within the NAIA were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, have attended the nominating institution for one full year prior to nomination, and must appear on the sport’s eligibility paperwork.
