Muff Grabs National Award

Oskaloosa–Connor Muff (Sr., Kenosha, Wis., Business Management) led the Statesmen to a pair of big victories last week and for his efforts he took the top honor by being named NAIA Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week Tuesday.

Muff guided William Penn to wins over (RV) Mount Mercy and #11 Missouri Baptist, posting a combined 85 assists for the week.

In the sweep over the Mustangs, the senior tallied 36 assists along four digs, three kills, three block assists, and two aces.

Muff then notched a season-high 49 assists in a reverse sweep of the Spartans. The senior also had five aces, four digs, three block assists, and a pair of kills. He hit .833 during the week with five winners out of six total attempts.

Entering Tuesday’s matchup with #4 Park in which WPU also won, Muff had posted 175 assists (9.21 per set) along with 23 digs, 11 aces, nine blocks, and five kills.

The national honor is the first in the program’s history.
