Indians Softball Win Over PC

The Oskaloosa Indians downed the Pella Christian Eagles 6-0 in softball action Monday night. The Indians pounded out 11 hits in the contest, while Faith DeRonde held the Eagles in check by throwing a 3 hit shutout. DeRonde walked one Eagle batter, while striking out 6 in picking up her 9th win of the season. The Indians were led at the plate by DeRonde. She went 3-4 with a single, double and home run while driving in one run. Presley Blommers also pounded out 3 hits – with two singles and a double. Getting two hits a piece for the Indians were Abby Braundmeier and Aubrey Boender. Also getting a hit in the contest for the Indians was Maleah Walker. The Indians move their overall record to 16-13 and stand at 9-8 in Little Hawkeye play. The Indians travel to EBF tomorrow to take on the Rockets in a JV2/JV1/V tripleheader. The JV2 game will begin at 4:30.
