Blaylock Named NABC All-American

Oskaloosa–Kevion Blaylock (Sr., Houston, Texas, Information Technology) doubled up on national awards Thursday as the National Association of Basketball Coaches released its NAIA All-America team.

Blaylock was one of 12 individuals chosen for the squad. It is his second All-America honor of the campaign, after also receiving First-Team recognition from the NAIA.

The senior helped WPU to a 25-2 record this year, including winning Heart of America Athletic Conference regular season and tournament crowns.

Blaylock headlined the Statesmen by averaging a double-double of 16.7 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. He also recorded 74 assists, 21 steals, and 19 blocks, while shooting 59.8% from the field (31.7% 3-PT) and 83.2% from the line. He scored a season-high 35 points versus Central Methodist on February 11 and recorded 13 double-doubles on the year.

Within the NAIA, Blaylock finished sixth in total rebounds (269), 15th in rebounding average, and 27th in field-goal percentage.
