Robert William Sirovy, 64, of Anamosa, Iowa, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, due to complications with Covid-19, while being cared for at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born June 11, 1956, at the Mahaska County Hospital the son of George and Lorraine Luzadder Sirovy.

Robert attended Oskaloosa High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. After a short time, he was medically discharged from the military.

Robert returned to Oskaloosa and went to work and the Oskaloosa Produce. He was a very talented artist and loved to write and receive letters from his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three brothers: George Sirovy of Newton, Charles Sirovy of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Ed (& Kimberly) Sirovy of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Darlene Wright and Patricia Kirk; and two brothers, Ronald Sirovy and Jim Sirovy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20, 2020, at 1 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating.
Burial will be in the Old White Cemetery in Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is required for attending a religious public event.
The funeral Service will be live streamed at the funeral home’s YouTube Channel for those wishing to support the family from a distance.
