Statesmen Re-Enter Receiving Votes Section

Oskaloosa–Courtesy of its road win over Benedictine, the William Penn men’s soccer team is once again receiving votes as the NAIA released its third top-25 poll Wednesday.

WPU (6-2, 3-0 Heart), which defeated the then-#26 Ravens in double overtime (Tuesday’s win over Grand View does not count towards this poll) is now unofficially 39th with three points.

The Statesmen are one of four Heart of America Athletic Conference programs in the rating. Central Methodist headlines the group at #1, while Missouri Valley is #3, and Baker is #9. CMU owns 16 first-place votes in the national poll.

William Carey (Miss.) is second (one first-place vote), while Columbia (Mo.) (one first-place vote) is fourth and Westmont (Calif.) is fifth to round out the top five.

WPU travels to Baldwin City, Kan. to face Baker in Heart play at 7:30 p.m.
