2018 C1st Skate Fest set for Sept. 29 at Ottumwa Skate Park

Ottumwa, IA—Community 1st Credit Union is pleased to announce the 2018 C1st Skate Fest will be Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Ottumwa Skate Park near Market Street and the riverfront.

The 6th annual skateboard, scooter and BMX competition will feature local food vendors, C1st Dollar Dog and train, music, games, giveaways and prizes. Professional Division BMX riders from Milwaukee will perform stunts and autograph souvenir photos.

Skate Fest combines all competitors sorted by age, 11-and-under, ages 12-to-14, 15-18 and 19-and-over. Entrants may register for “street course” and “best trick” events. Judging will be based on style, consistency and type of tricks.

Participants will receive a Skate Fest t-shirt subject to availability. Participants are required to wear protective skating gear and helmets.

Registration will also take place at the Skate Park the day of the event starting at 10 a.m. The rain date will be Oct. 13.
