Indians Advance To State

Hogan Rockhold hits the chip shot at Edmundson to help the Indians make State for the 2nd year in a row.

Great day at Edmundson today! The team qualified for State for the 2nd year in a row and will be heading back to Ft. Dodge next Thursday and Friday.

Seniors Austin Hafner and Hogan Rockhold led the team with a pair of hardworking 80s. Carter Parks came through in the clutch big time with his best score ever in competition, finishing with an 81. Noah Van Veldhuizen competed great and finished with an 86. Lucas Bunnell and Joe Glasgow were also competing for every shot and finished with a pair of 91s.

The team finished with a 327 and in second place.

They will compete next Thursday and Friday at Lakeside in Ft. Dodge.

Pella scored a 310, while Oskaloosa had a 327. The medalist of the meet was Brandon McCarty of Clear Creek Amana with a 75, while John Oltman of Pella was the runner up with a 75.

Austin Hafner and Hogan Rockhold both shot an 80, while Noah Van Veldhuizen shot an 86. Lucas Bunnell shot an 81, while Lucas Bunnell and Joe Glasgow each shot a 91.
