Year Long Investigation Nets Ten Arrests
Sigourney, Iowa – On April 27, 2012, after a year long investigation, including the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeast Iowa Drug Task Force and Sigourney Police Department, 10 individuals were arrested for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine in Keokuk County.
Participating in the arrest of these individuals were the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, Southeast Iowa Drug Task Force, Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, and Sigourney Police Department.
Those arrested were Brittany Trusty, 302 West Jackson Street, Sigourney, IA; Idalia De Los Angeles Oviedo Sotomayor, 402 N 1st St. E, Delta, IA; Dennis Hines of 1713 Pella Ave, Oskaloosa, Christopher Thompson of 101 S. Jefferson St. Delta, IA; Christopher Babcock of 515 E. Jackson St. Sigourney, IA; Marshall Hammes of 609 Barnes St. What Cheer, IA; Phillip Ingle of 109 W. 1st St. Delta, IA; Christine Smith of 504 Johnston St. What Cheer, IA; Courtney Thompson of 302 W. Washington St. What Cheer IA; Todd Schultz of What Cheer IA.
The above mentioned individuals are all held on $100,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and numerous other arrests are anticipated in the near future.
