WPU Wins Season-Opening Event, Four Qualify for Nationals

Davenport–The Statesmen men’s track and field team snatched a crown in its first indoor event, punching four tickets to nationals along the way as it competed at the St. Ambrose Frigid Bee Invitational Saturday.

William Penn placed first out of eight teams with 134 points, defeating Grand View (133) by one point for the title.

It was a banner day for the navy and gold, highlighted by four individuals qualifying for nationals in their first attempts of the 2019-2020 campaign.
