WPU Produces 96 Heart Scholar-Athletes in 2023-2024

Oskaloosa–The Heart of America Athletic Conference honored its top academic achievers as its 2023-2024 Scholar-Athletes were announced Tuesday.

William Penn recorded 96 award recipients, led by 10 from the women’s soccer program. A total of 1,133 student-athletes were honored from the 13 Heart schools, including several student-athletes receiving academic laurels in multiple sports. Seven Statesmen owned perfect 4.0 Grade Point Averages.

In order to be eligible for Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes must have earned a 3.40 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale), have accumulated a minimum of 60 semester hours (at least five semesters), and attended the nominating institution for at least two semesters prior to being nominated, as well as be a varsity participant on their respective team.
