William Penn Remains 31st

Oskaloosa–A loss to a top-five program did not affect the Statesmen men’s soccer team’s ranking as the NAIA released its second top-25 poll Wednesday.

As it was last week, WPU (4-2) is again unofficially 31st, but now tied there with LSU Shreveport (La.) with 21 points. The Statesmen are again one of six representatives from the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the poll. Missouri Valley is #1, Central Methodist is up to #2, Baker has vaulted to #12, and MidAmerica Nazarene has dropped to #22. Grand View joins WPU in the receiving votes section at #36.

Missouri Valley is still a unanimous #1 with 498 points and all 18 first-place votes. Following the Vikings and Central Methodist are Keiser, Oklahoma Wesleyan, and Columbia (Mo.) to complete the top five.

William Penn begins its Heart schedule by traveling to Marshall, Mo. Saturday to face #1 Missouri Valley at 7:30 p.m.
