William Penn in Top Four of Heart Preseason Poll

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s soccer team will again be vying for league supremacy as the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference Coaches’ Poll was released Tuesday.

WPU, which was 12-6-4 (7-3-3 Heart) last fall, is projected to be fourth out of 15 teams with 185 points. The team has earned two first-place votes as well.

Grand View tops the poll with 212 points and nine first-place votes, while MidAmerica Nazarene (206) and Baker (196) both each earned two first-place nods.

Central Methodist (146), Missouri Valley (145), and Park (144) are separated by just two points for the 4-6 spots, while William Woods (111), Benedictine (100), and Mount Mercy (93) finish off the top 10.

Clarke (75), Missouri Baptist (72), Graceland (47), St. Ambrose (36), and Culver-Stockton (32) conclude the standings.

William Penn’s 2026 season begins with a five-game home stand, starting with an August 21 matchup with Morningside at 5 p.m. The Statesmen will play on their home pitch of Drost Field on 11 occasions this fall.
