William Penn Dropped by No. 22 Missouri Valley

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen women’s soccer team was unable to hold down #22 Missouri Valley in a 7-0 Heart of the America Athletic Conference loss Saturday.

William Penn (3-4-5, 1-3-2 Heart) struggled against Missouri Valley (8-3-1, 5-0-1), which outshot the home team 19-5.

The visitors started strong with two goals in the first half and then added five more in the second half.

Despite having five chances, the navy and gold could not find the back of the net. Five separate players, including Emma Brandt (So., Cologne, Germany, Sports Management), Madison Ellis (So., Vancouver, B.C., Business Management), Lina Regadane (So., Ijmuiden, Netherlands, Business Management), Lilly Cote (Jr., Sioux City, Iowa, Psychology), and Luca Szucs (Sr., Gyor, Hungary, Exercise Science), had one shot each.

Next Up: William Penn travels to Lamoni, Iowa to play Graceland in Heart action Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
