Oskaloosa–The Statesmen wrestling team claimed six victories and received two more forfeits en route to a 40-9 dual meet win over Graceland Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets (1-6) took the opening win at 125 pounds, but 133-pounder Khalil Williams (Fr., Decatur, Ga., Physical Education) put WPU (2-1) ahead for good with a 1:00 fall over Cartland Allen.

Angelo Kelly (Jr., Ottumwa, Iowa, Physical Education) took the title for most match points on Tuesday with a 23-9 major decision at 141 pounds.

Brad Watson (Jr., Rolla, Mo., Physical Education) then cruised to another major decision at 149 pounds (10-2), while Charlton Benjamin (Sr., Atlanta, Ga., Sociology) crushed his 157-pound foe via technical fall, 21-3.

Ishmael Rempson (Sr., Olympia Fields, Ill., Industrial Technology) and Ernie Levy (Fr., Miramar, Fla., Software Engineering) each collected forfeits at 165 and 174 pounds, respectively.

Jay Fresh (Jr., Knoxville, Iowa, Sociology) rallied to win 4-3 at 184 and 197-pounder Kyle Soderblom (Sr., Newton, Iowa, Biology) tallied the quickest pin by sticking Nick Stasio in only 39 seconds.

Next Up: William Penn travels to Marshall, Mo. Friday and Saturday to compete in the Missouri Valley Invitational.
