Foster Named All-American, Others Honored for Academics
Oskaloosa–Cameron Foster (Jr., West Jordan, Utah, Business Management) has been recognized for a tremendous junior campaign as the NAIA announced its All-America teams last weekend.
Foster, who was heralded as Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Year last month, was named to the NAIA’s first team. It is his first career honor and WPU’s third all-time from the NAIA.
The junior owns a 211.1 average in 71 games, including a high game of 269. Foster has eight top-25 finishes, including winning the Hoosier Classic in February. Collegebowling.com’s rankings as of February 17 had Foster rated ninth in the nation in scoring average.
The NAIA’s coaches also handed out academic recognition to Michael Applegate (Fr., Council Bluffs, Iowa, Undecided), Piet Schaeffer (Jr., Livingston, England, General Mathematics), and Breanne Underwood (Grad., Treynor, Iowa, Master’s of Business Leadership). To be selected to the academic team, a bowler must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 based on a 4.0 scale.
