The William Penn men’s golf team is thick with new talent as it looks to make a run at the top teams in the league in 2023-2024.

William Penn finished eighth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference a year ago.

Austin Hafner (Sr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sports Management) is expected to lead the crew, while Jonathan Jarvis (Sr., Burlington, Iowa, Business Management) also returns to bolster the varsity lineup. Hafner had a 77.3 stroke average with two top-10 finishes last season, while Jarvis was at 80.3 with one such top-10 performance.

A trio of transfers in Francois Assaud (Jr., Montelimar, France, Sports Management), Luke Galeazzi (Jr., Knoxville, Iowa, Business Management), and Trace White (Sr., Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Physical Education) headline a large crew of newcomers looking to break into the starting five this year.

Schedule/Conference

William Penn will open its campaign Monday and Tuesday at home at Edmundson Golf Course as it hosts the Statesmen Invitational. It is the first of WPU’s five events this fall with the concluding tournament being the Heart Preview on October 23-24.
