What’s the Buzz About- Growing Season webinar to be held August 9

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is hosting the seventh annual “Growing Season “ webinars (programs viewed over the internet) at multiple locations across Iowa this summer. This series is offered by the Iowa Master Gardener program and is open to all interested gardeners. Participants are not required to have completed master gardener training to attend. The webinars will feature an Iowa State University faculty or staff member presenting the two-hour program.

The webinar What’s all the Buzz About, features Nathan Brockman curator of the butterfly wing of Reiman Gardens at Iowa State University. Attendees will learn about insects native to Iowa and what to do to increase the enjoyment of these six-legged garden visitors.

Mahaska county viewing of this webinar will be Tuesday August 9 at Noon or 6:30 pm at the Mahaska County Extension office; 212 North I Street Oskaloosa. Please note this is a different date than originally announced. Mahaska County Master Gardeners are providing this presentation. It is open to the public without cost to the attendees
