by Jamie Brockman

Playing their final home game of the regular season, which was also Senior night along with Coaches vs. Cancer pink out night, the Oskaloosa girls fell to Norwalk 53-32 in LHC action on Saturday.

Four Seniors were honored, including Marleigh Denberger, Lindsay Holmberg, Emma Kelderman, and Ashley Drost.

The Indians came into the game with extra confidence after beating Norwalk in overtime earlier this season. However, the Warriors jumped to an 11-6 lead after the first quarter and never trailed getting and pulling off the win.

Senior Ashley Drost continued her strong play as of late, scoring in double figures for the second time in the last three games, leading Oskaloosa with 13 points. Denberger added eight, Kelderman scored four, while Amanda Fay scored three, Kaylee Johnson and Aubrey Blanco each contributed two, and Holmberg added one.

Oskaloosa finishes the regular season at 2-18 and 1-12 in LHC play and now focuses on the Class 4A postseason as they travel to Washington Wednesday at 7 pm to open the Regional Tournament.
