Wapello County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Info On Escaped Prisoner

Curtis and Latisha Bunnell have been taken into custody in Oskaloosa and have been returned to the Wapello County Jail. Law enforcement appreciates the information received from the public regarding the whereabouts of the two fugitives.

***Original Press Release***

On December 10th, 2012, at or about 10:51 a.m. Curtis Bunnell, age 38, white male, 5’11”, brown hair and brown eyes escaped from the custody of the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office. Curtis Bunnell had been transported to the Wapello County Courthouse for a court appearance when he escaped. Curtis Bunnell is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on a $27,000.00 bond for Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. Aiding in the escape of Curtis Bunnell is Latisha Bunnell, age 27, white female, 5’2”, 110lbs, brown hair and blue eyes a warrant for Aiding & Abetting Escape is being issued for Latisha Bunnell. A warrant for Escape is being issued for Curtis Bunnell.

The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by several agencies in our area.

This criminal charge is an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
