Wanda Mae Conger, 95, of Ollie died Tuesday, September 26, 2012 at the Sigourney Care Center in Sigourney. She was born Saturday, October 7, 1916, in Ollie, the daughter Howard and Vira (Lade) Keasling VanOrsdall. She was united in marriage to Woodrow Conger on March 22, 1933 at Lancaster, Missouri. Following school she began her family and stayed at home to help Woodrow on the farm. She loved music, flowers, gardening, puzzle books, and fishing.
Her family includes her 7 sons: Dean (& Bev) Conger, Edward (& Linda) Conger, Delbert (& Ruth) Conger, James (& Marylou) Conger all of Ollie, Robert Conger and Larry (& Janet) Conger of Packwood, Dale (& Kathy) Conger of Martinsburg; 5 daughters: Arlene (& William) Shy of Dixon, Missouri, Juanita (& Eugene) Jones of Martinsburg, Joyce Kopsieker, Judy (& Bob) Ellis and Carolyn Skinner of Ollie; 38 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and two sisters: Edna Hutton of Dubuque and Vada Byrum of Packwood.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters: Linda and Darlene Conger; 3 sons: Paul, Raymond, and Ralph Conger; 5 grandsons: David Conger, Larry Shy, Johnny Conger, Ryan Conger, Mickey Dean Ruggles; two great grandsons; two sons-in-law: Rick Skinner and John Kopsieker; two sisters: Lucille and Fern VanOrsdall; and two brothers: John and Leslie VanOrsdall.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont with Reverend Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in VanOrsdall Cemetery near Martinsburg. Visitation will begin after 1:00 P.M. on Friday in the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the family present at the funeral chapel Friday from 5 – 7 P.M. to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Noah Conger or Reagan Kopsieker for future medical expenses.
