Unfounded Threat at OHS

An Oskaloosa High School Press Release

Dear Oskaloosa Families:

Around 10:30 PM on October 14, 2021, high school administrators were informed by police that there was a rumor of a potential threat in which a student was going to “Bring a gun to school and shoot it up”. This situation was investigated immediately by the Oskaloosa Police Department. The Oskaloosa Police Department has determined that this rumor of a threat has made its way to Oskaloosa which originated and was directed at a neighboring school district. This rumor of a threat has been determined to be unfounded by our local police.

Our priority is to keep all students and staff safe when allegations or rumors occur. Therefore we will provide an increased police presence at school tomorrow.

We take all statements seriously and investigate in collaboration with our police department and encourage your student to contact the building principal if they have any specific or additional information (see something say something).
