Tucker Garners First Career Heart Laurel
Oskaloosa–Spencer Tucker (Sr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sports Management) posted a pair of under-par scores and his efforts helped him be named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week Monday.
Tucker, who is a first-time winner of the weekly award, led William Penn to the season-opening team victory with two stellar rounds.
The senior posted a two-under 69 on Monday and then went even lower on Tuesday, carding a career-low five-under 65. In the process, Tucker tied school records for lowest 18 and 36-hole scores (134). He managed 10 birdies and 22 pars during the tournament.
The award is the first for WPU this year.
