Top Two Stay Unchanged in Newest Men’s Poll
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen cagers pushed their winning streak to nine games to keep pace with the top squad in the land as the seventh NAIA Division II men’s basketball poll was released Tuesday.
William Penn (23-1, 7-0 MCC) is second in the nation for the third week in a row, again earning 332 points and one first-place vote. Fellow Midwest Collegiate Conference program Mount Mercy remains in the top ten as well, improving one spot to #8.
Eastern Oregon continues to be #1 with 343 points and the other 12 first-place votes. Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), Indiana Wesleyan, and Northwestern round out the top five.
William Penn hits the road Wednesday, traveling to Mount Pleasant to face Iowa Wesleyan in non-conference play at 7 p.m.
