Third-Place Prediction for Statesmen Harriers
Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s cross country team seeks to continue to make up ground on the top teams in the league as the Midwest Collegiate Conference preseason coaches’ poll was released today.
The Statesmen have earned enough points for third place in the six-team conference, while Mount Mercy edged St. Ambrose 58-50 for the top position.
The Mustangs received five first-place votes, while St. Ambrose notched the final one. William Penn is a distant bronze with 30 points.
Grand View (24), Viterbo (16), and Clarke (6) round out the standings.
William Penn begins its fall season by traveling to Cedar Rapids on August 30 for the Mount Mercy Mustang Gallop.
