Terry Davis, 76, of Oskaloosa, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. Terry Sather Davis, son of Reuben Hill and Doris Marjorie (Sather) Davis, was born March 30, 1941, in Hollywood, Florida.
After finishing high school, Terry enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Waldron as an instrument man for 3 ½ of his four years in the military during the Vietnam War. For most of his life, Terry worked in commercial construction as an iron worker. He moved to Crystal Heights Care Center from Ottumwa in 2008.
His family includes his sister, Sandra Russell of Hendersonville, NC; four nieces and a nephew; and a cousin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
As was his wish, Terry’s body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at Crystal Heights Care Center. Arrangements entrusted to Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
