Oskaloosa–Samson Tamijani (Fr., Houston, Texas, Communications) did his part over the weekend to help the William Penn football team break a school record and he was rewarded for those efforts by being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week Monday.

Tamijani, now a two-time winner, tallied 13 points as a part of the Statesmen’s record-breaking 73-20 win over Culver-Stockton; the team’s 73 points is its most ever.

The freshman placekicker made all 10 of his extra points and also connected on a 32-yard field goal. For the year, he has scored 47 points, going 38-for-41 in extra points and 3-for-3 in field goals (long of 37 yards).

The award is the fourth of the year for the program.
