Susan Morrison
March 05, 1953 – September 17, 2019
Montezuma, Iowa | Age 66

Susan Diane Morrison, age 66, of Montezuma, entered God’s Hands on September 17, 2019, following a short illness. It is truly impossible to capture the impact Sue had on the lives of everyone she touched. She was full of life and just to be in her presence was enough to feel her loving heart and bright spirit. Sue’s love for God, her friends in faith, and her loving family were her greatest joys in life.

She was so thankful for the Lord and the profound blessing her faith had on her life. Even as Sue’s time on earth was ending, she wanted us all to remember that there was no end, just new beginnings. No finish, just renewed life in God’s eternal kingdom. She had comfort knowing ultimately God was in control and He works all things for our good, a promise for all who love Him.

Sue, and her loving husband of 47 years, Craig, planted roots in Montezuma and were blessed with two children, Timothy (& Betsy) Morrison and Patrick (& Corey) Morrison; and five grandchildren: Logan, Luke, Harper, Isaac and Knox Morrison. Sue was incredibly proud of her sons and found great joy in them, their wives, and kids. To see Sue with her grandchildren was to witness true joy. The laughter and love they shared was endless.
What Sue cherished most is time spent on the farm with her family; siblings: Kathleen Gorsuch, Deborah Anderson, and David (& Julie) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

She made everyone feel special, supported and cared for. It was impossible to be around Sue and not feel the bright light she radiated. Sue will always be remembered as inquisitive, engaged, and vibrant. A woman continually evolving, exploring ideas and teaching herself new things to make her life and those around her the best it could be.

Sue is now cherishing her time with those already walking with God in eternity, including her father, Robert Anderson; her mother, Beverly (Anderson) Farley; and her stepfather, Burdette Farley.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Community Hope Church in Montezuma with Pastor Brad Singleton officiating.
Burial will be held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma with a time of lunch and fellowship to follow her burial in the Community Hope Church Fellowship Hall.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 pm Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Community Hope Church in Montezuma with the family present to greet friends and relatives from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hope Church Mission Trip Fund in honor of Sue.

There is no end, just new beginnings.
