Coming off of two impressive wins the Osky girls were looking to run their winning streak to three games but what they ran into was a Grinnell Tigers team that was on fire, unbelievable whatever word you wanted to use the Tigers couldn’t miss from the 3 point line and if they did miss you didn’t notice because so many were going in, this helped lead to the Indians falling to the Tigers 67-20.

Right from the start you just knew it wasn’t going to be Oskys night as they were just a step behind the Tigers in everything they were doing, the fast start by the Tigers seemed to bury Osky as they couldn’t find success on the offensive or get stops on the defensive side of the ball. Freshman Alexis Westercamp and Senior Taylor Richardson were the only offense that Osky could come up with in the first half as Osky found themselves trailing 53-18 at the half.

Osky was being out rebounded and the hot outside shooting by the Tigers led to the inside game opening up as the first half woes were far too great to overcome for the Indians. In the second half Osky scored just 2 points as the majority of the second half was played with a continuously running clock. Grinnell cruised to a 67-20 win to end the regular season for the girls.

Osky was led in scoring by Westercamp and Richardson both with 8 points and Senior Chace Moyer with 4 points to round out the scoring. Osky will now get right back at it Wednesday night with the first round State Playoff game in Carlisle against the Wildcats. Osky ends the regular season with a 3-18 record. Please come and support the girls Wednesday night in the playoffs.
