Statesmen of the Week: John Webb and Phoebe Burt

Oskaloosa–Men’s track and field athlete John Webb (Fr., Dothan, Ala., Mechanical Engineering) and women’s track and field athlete Phoebe Burt (Jr., Iowa City, Iowa, Sociology) have been named Statesmen of the Week for the week of March 25-31, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Webb won the triple jump event at the Central Methodist Invitational last Saturday with a distance of 46-3.25. The freshman also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash in 22.09 seconds.

Burt had a pair of top-10 finishes at the Central Methodist Invite. She placed seventh in the discus at 121-10 and was ninth in the shot put at 39-8.75.
