Southern Iowa Speedway Set To Host Musco Lighting Fall Challenge

Oskaloosa, Iowa: The 2021 Stock Car Racing season will come to a close this weekend as the Southern Iowa Speedway will host the annual Musco Lighting Fall Challenge. The Fall Challenge showcases the weekly competitors with two big nights of racing with all classes racing for a greatly expanded purse. The Stock Cars, Sportmods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts and Non-Wing Sprints will race both Friday and Saturday night with two complete race programs being run. In addition the American Iron Racing Series will also be in competition on Saturday night, this class is comprised of cars that raced back in the 60’s and 70’s and features all American made cars.

Friday night the top five in season points at the Southern Iowa Speedway in all divisions will be recognized and those drivers will share over $5,400 in point fund money.

Camping is available and can be reserved by calling the Southern Iowa Fair office at 641-673-7004. Friday night the action will get underway on the ½ mile dirt track on the Mahaska County Fairgrounds with hot laps at 7:15 with racing to follow, Saturday night the start time will be moved up to 6:30 pm.
