For the women, their jump was even more impressive, improving 85 rungs from #182 in last year’s final rating.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) leads the nation with a .94912 mark, while Westmont (Calif.) is second at .87667. Davenport (Mich.) (.873853), Vanguard (Calif.) (.861998), and Concordia (Ore.) (.85188) round out the top five.

The complete MRPI list can be found at http://www.naia.org/pdf9/2542778.pdf?DB_OEM_ID=27900

From the NAIA: The MRPI consists of the team’s modified winning percentage, their opponents’ winning percentage and the cumulative ratings points from the NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. Each of the three values has a weighted percentage calculated in the MRPI. The MRPI modifies the value of home/away/neutral results and adds more value for games against opponents ranked in their respective national poll.
For a complete description of the MRPI formula, go to Appendix C in the Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Manual, or going to http://www.naia.org/fls/27900/1NAIA/Championships/CoachesCorner/SoccerW/WSoc_Manual.pdf?&DB_OEM_ID=27900#page=23

Next: The soccer teams open MCC action Saturday by traveling to Cedar Rapids to face Mount Mercy. The women play at 1 p.m. and the men will follow at 3 p.m.
