Ruby Snyder, 74, of Oskaloosa passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Ruby May Snyder, the daughter of Virgil Dean and Bonnie Lou (Musgrove) Adams, was born, December 24, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Ruby attended Oskaloosa Schools.

On October 27, 1967, Ruby married her best friend and the love of her life, J. Bruce Snyder, at the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa.

Through the years Ruby was employed at Calhoun’s Diner, Continental Overall Factory, the Sunflower Shop, Wendy’s and Happy Joes.

Ruby was a member of the First Christian Church where she belonged to Ruth Group. She enjoyed reading, watching QVC and HGTV, gardening, and getting together with the K-Mart girls once a month. Ruby cherished the time she spent with her immediate and extended family and attending her son and grandson’s activities. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Ruby’s family includes her husband, Bruce of almost 54 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Marie Snyder of Knoxville; a grandson, Brett Snyder of Knoxville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry Adams of Oskaloosa and Lee & Pam Adams of Beacon; a nephew, Justin (& Dawn) Adams; a niece, Sara (& Joel) Bryan; great-nieces: Kylie, Hailey, Emma, Abby and Bella; a special cousin, Ed (& Cathy) Adams.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her Grandpa and Grandma Adams and Grandma and Grandpa Musgrove; her special aunt, Ellen (& Junior) Moore; and a sister-in-law, Cathy Adams.

Funeral Services for Ruby will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2021, at Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Sunday at Langkamp Funeral Chapel; the family will greet visitors from 2-4 p.m., Sunday afternoon.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
