Ronda Boll, age 55, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home in Oskaloosa. She was born on July 4, 1965 in Pella, Iowa, the daughter of Albert “Frog” and Shirley Van Gorp.
Ronda attended Pella High School and graduated with the Class of 1983.
On November 12, 1985, she was united in marriage to Ralph Boll in Oskaloosa.
Ronda was a homemaker for most of her life raising her children and taking care of her home. She also worked at Vermeer and Pella Plastics for a time.
She enjoyed spending time with Ralph, taking drives on gravel roads and playing backgammon. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, reading books and listening to music. Her real joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her family includes her best friend and husband, Ralph Boll of Oskaloosa; her children, Modenna Van Gorp of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mandy Boll of Rose Hill and Miakay Boll (& Shane Followill) of Oskaloosa; three grandchildren: Mortakye Thomas, Skiler Followill and Grace Followill; her father, Albert “Frog” Van Gorp; two sisters, Julie McGuiness and Terri Van Gorp; and a great aunt, Martha Atteberry. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Van Gorp, and her grandparents, Buzz and Ruby Slackhouse.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, Iowa with pastor Chad Lierman officiating. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, starting at 6:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel.
