Ronald F. Morrow of Oskaloosa passed away on January 10, 2022, at the age of 89. Ronald was born the son of Durward and Mildred (Ladely) Morrow on July 13, 1932, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Ron graduated from the Pella High School with the class of 1950.

After graduating high school, Ron then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War.

On September 9, 1951, Ron was united in marriage to Mary Lou Coleman, in Knoxville, Iowa. To that union, two daughters were born: Cathy and Rhonda.

Ron was a tool and die maker and worked at Rolscreen (now Pella Corp) for 32 years until he retired in 1987. He worked seven years part-time, after retirement, at the Soil Conservation Office.

Ron was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa. He enjoyed tinkering around in his garage working on old bikes and mopeds. Ron also enjoyed playing dominos and visiting during coffee time.

On September 15, 2009, Mary Lou died. Following Mary Lou’s death, Ron re-connected with a lifelong friend Mary Lou Evans. The two of them enjoyed many years together.

Ron is survived by his two daughters and their husbands: Cathy (& Ronald) Walker of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Rhonda (& Steve) Hicks of Oskaloosa, Iowa; two grandsons: Dennis (& Stephanie) Walker and Kristopher (& Julie) Walker; 3 great grandchildren: Jaylyn, Brett and Brooks Walker; and a brother, Lyle (& Georgia) Morrow of Oskaloosa. He is also survived by a close friend, Mary Lou Evans of Beacon; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Durward and Mildred; and a sister and her husband, Lillian (& Ronald) Howard.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa with Reverend Molly Goodrich officiating.
Burial will be in the Bellefountaine Cemetery near Tracy.
Graveside military honors will be given by members of the Oskaloosa American Legion and V.F.W. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Thursday after 12 noon in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 5-7 to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to MHP Serenity Hospice House.
