Rockets Take On Tough Competition Over The Weekend
The win loss record for the weekend doesn’t reflect how well we played at times. I thought we improved by the end of the day with our serve receive. We have struggled to pass well all season and I felt we controlled the pass so much better our last 2 matches. The girls felt they did better and were excited to have stayed competitive with the bigger schools. Our serving was aggressive taking some of those teams out of system giving us the chance to defend better. Finding that consistency will be our key to success. I am proud of how well we played through adversity throughout the day. Injured players along with sickness made for a scramble at times, but we rallied through it. Our next match is on Tuesday when we host a conference rival Centerville. Centerville won the conference last year and we are looking to take back the conference.
