RAGBRAI DECORATED BICYCLE CONTEST

Create a work of art where bicycles are the focal point.

The RAGBRAI DECORATED BICYCLE CONTEST gives the community an opportunity to create pieces of art around blue painted bicycles (provided). We encourage all businesses to pick up and decorate a bicycle and create a work of art around the RAGBRAI theme and their business or personality. Individuals may also enter, so join us and demonstrate your creative and artistic talents while embracing our RAGBRAI visitors.
Bicycles can be picked up at the Chamber beginning June 17.

Decorated entries must be submitted to the Chamber of Commerce office by 4:00 PM, July 22.

All bicycle submissions will be on public display along the route coming into Oskaloosa on July 25th. The winning bicycles will be featured downtown.

Entry’s can be returned to businesses at request or will be recycled in the upcoming community for Blue Zones
Winners in both the individual and business categories will be given $50 in Osky cash.
Competition guidelines:

  • Artwork must be suitable for Oskaloosa RAGBRAI theme (Ride Hard, Dance Harder) & may also be themed around a business or personality. Other information: Statewide 2013 RAGBRAI symbol Pig, color Blue.
  • Blue Base Bicycle required (Provided)
  • Entry form must be filled out with name of the business or individual creating the bicycle. A number will be assigned to each bicycle entry for judging. Entry forms available at the chamber when bicycle is picked up.
