Pella Too Much For 7th Grade Girls

The 7th Grade Girls basketball team continues to improve and learn as they played at Pella on Monday night. Pella is a talented and deep team with a lot of height. In recent games, the coaches have tried to help the girls get off to a better start against good opponents. The girls got down 2-8 early in this game before storming back by beating the Pella press with great ball movement to take an 10-8 lead. Unfortunately, Pella went on a run from there to take a 14-10 lead after the 1st quarter. The Indians were extremely aggressive and made some very good decisions offensively, however, Pella was able to use their height and their depth to pull away for a 30-45 finish. The Indians record falls to 3-4.

The B team ended up falling by a score of 0-33. The girls struggled to find open players early in the game. The coaches challenged the girls to make sure they kept their heads up offensively and pass it to the open players.

A team scoring: Presley Blommers 10, Maleah Walker 10, Lucy Roach 8, Kenedi Humphrey 2
