On Tuesday before Thanksgiving break the 7th grade girl’s had their first chance to play in front of the home crowd against Pella. The girls came out aggressive and constantly were looking for our post players. It was a tough game but the A team fell to 1-1 with a final score of 39-23.

Aubree Blanco: 15 points, 6 rebounds, and a steal

Faith DeRonde: 4 points, 2 rebounds, and an block

Addison Carter: 3 points, a steal, and an assist

Aby Thompson: 1 points, 5 rebounds, a steal, and 2 assists.

The rest of the ladies made their impacts by grabbing rebounds and steals on the defensive end, along with helping move the around on the offensive end!

The B team had their first taste of action this season! The B team beat the Dutch 18-14. This was a great way to start the season for these girls! The B team was lead by Rylee Ebelsheiser with 5 points. Ashlyn McDougal chipped in 4 points. Addison Gerard added 3 points. The scoring was rounded out by Olivia Gordon, Sage Adams, and Olivia Stodgehill with 2 a piece.

The C team had a shorten version of their first competitive action as well as they fell to the Dutch 12-4. There were a lot of positives that we are able to identify and could already start to see improvement from the start of the year! The scores for the C team were Jenna and Autumn DeRonde with a basket each.

Come out again as we take on Grinnell Tuesday November 29th starting at 4:30!!
