Patricia Anderson, 47, of Oskaloosa died Monday, December 1, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born Friday, March 17, 1967 in Southern California, the daughter of Billy and Betty June Enmon Caton.

Patricia attended high school in Perris, California and later continued her education at Indian Hills Community College where she completed her nursing degree. In 1987 she was united in marriage to Alan Tolliver, they later divorced.

While in California, Patricia worked with John Anderson at Anderson’s Carpet Cleaning. In 1995 they moved to Iowa. In 2006, Patricia was united in marriage to John Anderson in Oskaloosa. Together she and John worked at food processing facilities in the area and she also helped at C.O.C.

Patricia enjoyed gardening, hanging out in her pool and loved animals of all kinds. She will forever be remembered for her generous and caring heart, positive outlook on life and always wearing a smile. Patricia delighted in her family and loved to travel.

Patricia is survived by her husband: John Anderson of Oskaloosa; two daughters: Jessica (& Corey) Courtney and Chrissy (& Daniel) Doll all of Oskaloosa; three grandchildren: Olivia and Avery Doll and Mason Courtney; two sisters: Linda Whittle of New Sharon and Lisa Bird of Lytton, Iowa; a brother: Billy (& Danielle) Caton of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Richard Farris; a nephew: R.J. Bird; and a mother in law: Mildred Frances Tolliver.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 at 6 P.M. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Mark Doll officiating.
As was her wish, her body has been cremated.
A visitation will begin Friday after 12 noon at the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be present at the funeral chapel Friday from 4 until service time at 6 P.M. to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter.
