Parks’s Walk-off Seals the Deal in Oskaloosa Indians Varsity Victory Over Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity defeated Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs 3-2 on Thursday thanks to a walk-off double. The game was tied at two with Oskaloosa Indians Varsity batting in the bottom of the ninth when Jarrod Parks doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Oskaloosa Indians Varsity pitchers struck out 15, while Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs pitchers sat down 21.
Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs got things moving in the first inning. Dariel Santana drove in two when Santana homered.
Oskaloosa Indians Varsity evened things up at two in the bottom of the sixth inning when Will Schultz singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Garrett Roethler was credited with the victory for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.
Keaton Fenn was on the pitcher’s mound for Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs. The hurler surrendered two runs on four hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out 14. Ty Mikkelsen threw three innings in relief.
Jarrett Czerwinski started the game for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. Czerwinski went five and a third innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out eight
Oskaloosa Indians Varsity launched one home run on the day. Colin Snitker went yard in the fourth inning.
Schultz went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Oskaloosa Indians Varsity in hits.
Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Isaac Short had the most chances in the field with 21.
