P. Buckley Moss print raffle raises $1,740 for Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary raised $1,740 in their most recent fundraiser for Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Services, a raffle featuring a P. Buckley Moss print.

According to Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary President Diane Davis, the print, titled, “A Bit of Heaven,” was donated by P. Buckley Moss. Framing was donated by M & J Art Gallery of Ottumwa. The framed print was valued at $450.

“Thanks to all of the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary members who worked hard to sell lots of tickets and who also purchased many tickets themselves so that this event would be a success,” Davis said. “The lucky winner was Jan Boender of Oskaloosa.”

Davis said all proceeds from the raffle will benefit the patients of Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Services. The Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary is an independent, not for profit organization that supports MHP Hospice Services, which includes the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.

According to Davis, next up for the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary is Golf Under the Lights, scheduled Friday, May 24 at Oskaloosa Golf. Once again, the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary and MCG are teaming up with Musco Lighting for the largest fundraiser benefitting MHP Hospice Services.

“We are so grateful to MCG and Musco Lighting for their leadership in organizing this golf tournament. We appreciate all the businesses and individuals who sponsor a hole, donate raffle items and golf in the tournament, as well as the many volunteers who help make it happen,” Davis said.
