Oskaloosa Symphony announces celebrity guest conductor contest

The Oskaloosa Symphony Orchestra Board recently announced the celebrity guest conductor candidates for this year’s Music of Christmas concert. This year’s candidates are Jason Alons, Principal of Oskaloosa Christian School; Linda Fox, Youth Librarian at  Oskaloosa Public Library; Sue Lynn, Oskaloosa Main Street President; Russ Reiter, Superintendent of  Oskaloosa Community Schools; and Mary Ruffridge, Financial Advisor at First National Bank Midwest.

The Celebrity Guest Conductors will be vying for your votes at the Oskaloosa Symphony’s Music of Christmas concert on Sunday December 19th at 4 pm. Each candidate will raise money in the lobby of the George Daily Auditorium before the concert as in previous years. The candidate who receives the most money (votes) will be declared the celebrity guest conductor of the year. All money raised will go towards the Symphony Orchestra.
