Christmas in July 2018

It’s nearly time again for Christmas in July! Join Oskaloosa Main Street downtown for this unseasonal holiday celebration!

Kick off the day from 9 AM – 1 PM with a stop by The Alley to shop the pop-up craft and product vendor show. Shortly after the show begins, fun family and children’s games will begin on the square from 11 – 3 PM. Check out Mahaska Drug games, fun with the YMCA, photo ops, the Oskaloosa Fire Department Splash Pad, and the KIIC snow machine (11-2 PM only).

Shop the silent auction beginning at noon. Place your final bids before the auction closes at 9 PM and take home something wonderful! All proceeds benefit Painting with Lights!

From 2-4 join Oskaloosa Community Theatre in the Art Center for a Flapper Murder Mystery! “Members at the High Moon Club have heard a new family has moved into town and with one of their own knocked off, it’s time to gather the family, and settle this business once and for all, before the coppers get wind of it.” Light refreshments provided. $10 per ticket, money collected at the door. When you get to The Alley ask for Pearl LaMark and she’ll guide you in!

At 5 PM the real fun begins with live music, the beverage garden, and food vendors! Grab a cold beer, rita, cider, or enjoy a craft brew from NoCoast Beer Co. Cool off with a Sno-Biz, or grab a bite to eat from Wanderlunch, Calico Jack’s, Grubby’s Popcorn, and Hy-Vee!

Stick around for local band, Small Town Superheroes from 5-8 PM, then finish the night with some rocking country music from Jason Brown from 8:15 – 10 PM.

At 5:30, the NoCoast Beer Co. Bags Tournament begins! Preregistration before July 14th for $20 per team by calling 641-672-2591, or register at the event for $30 per team! The field is limited to 64 teams so sign up today! The championship round teams will receive a total of over $500 in OskyCash and prizes.

Don’t forget to bring your holiday spirit, and join us in downtown Oskaloosa for Christmas in July, July 14th, 2018 from 9 AM – 10 PM!
