Oskaloosa Main Street — Window Decorating Contest

Oskaloosa Chamber and Main Street have laid out a Christmas challenge, and are asking area businesses and organizations to rise to the cheerful occasion!

The holidays are fast approaching and visitors will be traveling to town to shop, eat, and stay. Area businesses and organizations can help make a visual impact by decorating their storefronts for the holidays.

Oskaloosa Area Chamber and Development Group Director, Ann Frost, encourages participants, “Whether it’s putting up lights on your building, or placing a Christmas tree, or decorations in your window, every touch of holiday spirit counts!”

Until 2018, the holiday Window Decorating Contest was limited to downtown, but Chamber and Main Street staff would like to see the entire community participate.

“When people come into town, we want them to be able to feel the Christmas Spirit!” says Main Street Director, Emily Brown. “The greater the participation is from our local businesses and organizations, the stronger that feeling can be.”
