Oskaloosa Indians Varsity Drops Game to Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs After Late Score

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs pulled away late in an 8-6 victory on Wednesday. Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs was down 6-4 in the top of the sixth inning when Dariel Santana homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring four runs.

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity lost despite out-hitting Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs 14 to nine.

Trevor Hamil toed the rubber for Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs. The ace lasted five and a third innings, allowing 13 hits and six runs while striking out five.

Alex Christ was on the hill for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. The righthander went five and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits and striking out two. Jarrett Czerwinski threw one and one-third innings in relief.

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity socked one home run on the day. Charlie North had a four bagger in the third inning.

Oskaloosa Indians Varsity racked up 14 hits on the day. North, Will Schultz, Colin Snitker, and Christ all had multiple hits for Oskaloosa Indians Varsity. Snitker, Schultz, and North each managed three hits to lead Oskaloosa Indians Varsity.

Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs tallied nine hits in the game. Gavin Rupp, Santana, and Clayton Campidilli each had multiple hits for Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs. Rupp led Dallas Center-Grimes Varsity Mustangs with three hits in four at bats.
